Two versions of the same document.

A charter was approved at the conference convened by the National Council for Animals' Welfare Week, 3rd May 1927. The charter sets out how animals can be protected. One includes an image of a dog surounded by the words "Cruelty to animals is an enemy to progress".

A campaign leaflet which includes a photograph and words by Scottish poet, Alasdair Alpin MacGregor, about the death of a vivsected cat. There is a photograph of MacGregor holding a cat. The leaflet has information on how to join SSPV. Reprinted from the Daily Telegraph.

The leaflet was withdrawn in 1969 due to six words missing from the document.

A notice for the Animal Defence and Anti-Vivisection Society's General Assembly and Business Meetings for members and associates of the society, donors to the Nina Hamilton Memorial Fellowship and Donons to the Ferne Animal Sanctuary. The meeting was to take place at Animal Defence House, 15 St James's Place, London. Topics discussed included speaking out against cruelty, the prevention of cruelty to animals, and the increase in vivisection experiments.
